Human Trafficking: A Call to Justice

Human trafficking has really come into global focus over the past few years. There are an estimated 10-30 million slaves in the world today, and that may be a conservative number. Most of those trafficked, including children as young as infancy, are sold and forced to work in sexual slavery. But the ugly, unknown face of human trafficking is quickly having its mask ripped off. Organizations are springing up all over the place, vowing to fight the modern day slave trade. There are several great organizations right here in our own state, the most prominent one being Stop Child Trafficking Now, who have been instrumental in the fight against the slave trade in the United States. Globally, Christine Caine’s A21 Campaign is making huge strides in Greece and Eastern Europe, helping to end trafficking, while rehabilitating those who have been victims. Please visit our friends at SCTnow.com and theA21campaign.org, to see what you can do to help eliminate modern day slavery in our world.
