Easter Outreach-Destiny Church-Columbia, TN
Over the Easter weekend, a team of IMT students traveled across the country to spend the weekend working alongside Destiny Church for their Easter outreach. Steven and Shannon Morgan, pastors of the 4 year old congregation, and their staff put together the 4th annual Destiny Church Easter Celebration in a local park. The IMT’s teamed up with Destiny volunteers to prep everything needed for the Saturday event including stuffing 50,000 Easter eggs! On Saturday, the city parked was turned into a fun zone with inflatables, face painting, free food and Easter egg hunts. The event was scheduled to start at 4PM, but hundreds of people showed up by 3PM, and over 2,000 had already registered by the start time! All in all, over 4,000 residents turned out for the totally free event-that’s more than 10% of the city! God moved in peoples hearts as Steven gave an invitation with hundreds lifting their hands to receive Christ. God radically touched the city of Columbia that day and we are so glad that the IMT program could be a part of it!
